Wearing face masks inside Juneau’s public schools is optional as of Monday, but some students and staff are still choosing to wear them for a variety of reasons.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending another shot for those who are immunocompromised or over the age of 50. People who received their first booster dose at least four months ago are eligible.

The group’s moderators are people who’ve lost loved ones themselves. Their work with the group means they’ve had to make tough choices while processing their own losses.

The city’s working title for the project is the Lemon Creek Multimodal Path. The city doesn’t know where the path will be, what it will cost or when it will be done. It needs money to make a plan for the path first.

Juneau police are looking for feedback on the new page, which has photos and descriptions of missing people and details about when they were last seen.

The black-and-white version of the The Homeless Changed newspaper is free, and the color version is a $3 suggested donation.
