A local advocacy group gathered more than 2,700 signatures for each proposition within the city clerk’s office’s extended deadline. A third to make in-person voting the default again in Juneau’s local elections failed to get enough signatures.

Cruise ship passenger arrested in Juneau for fraud and identity theft
Over four days on the cruise ship, Enrico Ronquillo allegedly made large cash withdrawals with a stolen credit card at the ship’s casino. Ronquillo is a citizen of the Philippines who legally lives in the U.S.
