The Alaska Supreme Court considers the case of a man stopped and searched in a Anchorage liquour store parking lot. A security guard beleived that the man and his famale companion were drinking and possibly snorting cocaine. A police officer later tried to pat down the man in a search for weapons and discovered something suspicious in the man’s t-shirt pocket. The item turned out to be a vial full of a white powder, not a weapon. The man was eventually arrested for misconduct involving a controlled substnance.Related Link: State of Alaska v. Donald Wagar
