The Juneau Assembly has appointed Mary Borthwick, Lauree Morton and Mark Johnson to the Bartlett Regional Hospital Board of Directors.
The Assembly usually holds a single meeting in December to consider applicants for city enterprise boards, but that would have been difficult to do this year.
People from across the income spectrum are making appointments with Juneau's Enroll Alaska agent.
A second Juneau agent will be located at Walmart, hopefully, within the next two weeks.
The move will happen sometime around the first of the year as the CBJ Law Department expands to handle additional responsibilities.
"All of these agencies realized that if Front Street Clinic disappeared, this huge gap would appear that nobody could fill," says Mariya Lovishchuk, executive director of The Glory Hole, Juneau’s soup kitchen and shelter.
Ken Brough is the third member of the hospital's leadership team to step down or announce plans to resign in the past three months.
An agent will be at Bartlett Regional Hospital Wednesday and Thursday from 12 to 5 pm.
"Culture doesn’t happen overnight. Trust is built over time with consistency and good communication," Egbert says.
