The Alaska Volcano Observatory reports that increased surface temperatures and ash indicate the volcano has entered a period of unrest.

Research team sets out for Islands of the Four Mountains
A group of researchers left Unalaska this past weekend for a remote part of the central Aleutians: the Islands of the Four Mountains.
Scientists spot lava flows at Cleveland and Pavlof
Scientists at the Alaska Volcano Observatory were able to get clear views of two restless volcanoes yesterday. The images show that both Cleveland Volcano in the Aleutian Islands and Pavlof Volcano on the Alaska Peninsula are oozing lava.
Cleveland Volcano eruption continues
Cleveland Volcano continues to be active, with two additional blasts shaking the volcano on Sunday evening, and Monday morning.
