Slovakian viola player Lukas Kmit was in the middle of performing at the Orthodox Synagogue in Presov, in Slovakia, when a cell phone in the audience began to ring. Kmit chose to use humor to diffuse an otherwise awkward moment.

KRNN is 5 years old today. On January 12, 2007 KRNN, KTOO News, and KXLL first went on the air. It’s hard now to imagine Juneau without three such outstanding radio stations. Thanks to everyone who in the community who have helped make these stations such a success!
