Lew Dischner

Lew Dischner, the State of Alaska’s first Labor Commissioner and later an influential lobbyist at the state capitol, died Tuesday in Portland at the age of 85. Former KTOO News Director interviewed Dischner shortly after he served time in prison for fraud and racketeering charges. Despite the scandal that ended his political career, Dischner is still regarded as one of the most influential people in Alaska politics.
