Juneau School District Superintendent Frank Hauser sat down with KTOO to chat about the new high school and middle school consolidation plan, the stability of the district moving forward and what students can expect this year.

The vaccine did bring some hope to early 2021, but while the virus was being knocked back a bit, the damage the pandemic brought to society was already done.

Recommendations include a new staff position responsible for designing a city-backed child care program for the duration of the pandemic. Another is to pay employers to run on-site child care programs.
