David Hoelscher, 33, was taken into custody on Tuesday after troopers conducted interviews and investigated the scene at his residence.
A Village Public Safety Officer who was called to the Hoelscher’s residence on Monday afternoon located the body of 27-year old Pauline Mann, also of Hooper Bay.
The exact cause of death is not yet known. Mann’s body is being sent to Anchorage for an autopsy.
Troopers say the death appears to be the result of a domestic argument, and alcohol may have been factor.
