Members of the X-Treme Botz team from Skagway discuss strategy at the 3rd annual Juneau Robot Jamboree Saturday at Centennial Hall. Fifteen teams from across Southeast Alaska took part in the tournament, which challenges 9- to 14-year-olds to come up with robot designs using Lego NXT kits. Teams score points by programming their robots to complete different missions on an obstacle course. But they’re judged on other criteria as well.
