Allen, et al. v. Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation CommissionAppellants Danco and Allen petitioned the AOGCC to expand the North Cook Inlet unit (operated by ConocoPhillips) to include two expiring oil and gas leases in which they owned royalty interests, claiming that the Unit was draining gas from their leases. If the Unit expanded retroactively, the leases would not have expired and the Appellants would share in Unit revenues. After a hearing, the AOGCC found that there was no drainage and denied the petition, and the Superior Court affirmed that decision.
