The 2018 Red Carpet Concert Folk Fest Sessions were recorded at KTOO Public Media during the 2018 Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau, Alaska. Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, KTOO’s Red Carpet Concert Series features Alaskan and regional bands.

Ray Troll and the Ratfish Wranglers are a wild bunch of artist-musicians hailing from the town of Ketchikan that play what some have described as sub-aquatic neo-folk n’ fish-punk-rock. One never knows who is going to be ‘wrangled’ into this band of pranksters but at it’s core are well known Alaskan Fish artist Ray Troll…

Original short stories from Alaska writers Clint Farr, Mary Kudenov and Heather Lende come to life as they are read aloud by local actors Elizabeth Pisel Davis, Christina Apathy and Doneice Gott.

The 2017 Alaska Folk Festival Red Carpet Concerts were recorded in the historic Alaskan Hotel, performers include The Quaintrelles, Caleb Klauder and Reeb Willms, The Hannah Yoter Band, Goldwing, Emma Hill with Kat Moore, Tanya Lewis and Christopher Behnke, Annie Bartholomew, and the festival guest artists The Murphy Beds.
