A jury trial has been rescheduled for May 26 in the case of a Juneau gun shop owner being sued by the family of a construction worker.
The family of Simone Kim filed a lawsuit against Ray Coxe of Rayco Sales, and the long-awaited trial was scheduled to start Feb. 9. Attorneys for the Kim family objected to Coxe submitting evidence just before trial, but they did not want the trial to be postponed.
Kim was an Anchorage painter who was working on the Fred Meyer expansion project when he was killed in August 2006 by Jason Coday, using a firearm obtained from Rayco Sales.
