This weekend was the 46th Southeast Alaska State Fair hosted in Haines from July 31 – Aug 3. Attendees experienced great weather and entertainment from all over the Lower 48 and Alaska. Here are some highlights from the musical performances.

- A library worker in youth services says the event raised a few eyebrows, but didn't draw any formal complaints.
- It sets permanent fund dividends at $1,100. The Legislature didn’t pass a plan to balance budgets in the future.
- 360 North’s new documentary “Inside Out: Leaving Prison Behind,” premieres 8 p.m. this Friday, June 23 on 360 North.
- The state is advertising the ferry Taku again. It listed the ship earlier at $1.5 million, then at $700,000. This time, there's no advertised minimum.
