Avalanche danger continues to rise
Thane Road is blocked Thursday morning due to an avalanche that slid across the road all the way to Gastineau Channel. Meanwhile, another slide rumbled down the Behrends Path on Mt. Juneau Wednesday. CBJ Emergency Management Department warns risk of avalanches will continue to be high for at least the next 48 hours.
