A sixth Juneau man was detained by federal immigration authorities.

Mario Alberto Trejo Reynoso, 27, was detained at Lemon Creek on Sept. 4, and moved to Anchorage Correctional Complex on Sept. 30.

An Alaska Department of Corrections spokesperson said he left state custody on Oct. 4. Trejo Reynoso is currently at the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma, Washington, according to the U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement database.

Trejo Reynoso was cited by Juneau police for driving without a license in June, according to the Alaska court system’s database.

Earlier this year, Juneau police said they were not working with federal immigration officials on immigration enforcement in Juneau. The local agency doesn’t have an official partnership with ICE that allows them to act on behalf of federal officers. But in July, Juneau Police Chief Derek Bos told KTOO that Customs and Border Protection requested assistance with someone in their custody, and JPD transported that person “away from the area.”

In total, federal officials have detained at least six Juneau residents at Lemon Creek since the beginning of 2025.
