Do you believe climate change is caused by human activity?
No
How do you typically spend your PFD?
I pay the tax on an investment property, and subsidize winter heating costs.
Budget
What are your priorities for the state budget?
(There has not been a fiscal gap in “the Budget”) To correct; the -$10,381,246,000 that is wrongly posted in ASSETS, the -$10,266,329 in Unassigned Funds (page 177 2017 C.A.F.R.), & the $-1,852,907,000/$1,852,907,000 that have been transposed (page 178) and redirecting unrestricted revenues historically destined for the General Fund that that have been diverted into Off-Budget Assets, back into the General Fund.
PFD
Do you agree with using a portion of Alaskans' PFDs to fund state government? If not, what government services would you propose cutting or taxes would you propose raising to pay for it?
NO. And no taxes either. Cutting, maintaining, or expanding cannot be addressed until the State’s fiancees are put back in order.
Funding health care
Do you support the state paying health care providers less? If not, how would you limit state spending on health care?
SB 91 lets the wrong people out and must be repealed. Also there are entirely to many “laws” that put people that have harmed no one into cement cages. Such Nazism has no place in a free country to be wiped from the books, while those committing real crimes are held accountable and face justice that is swift & appropriate.
Criminal justice
Where do you stand on the criminal justice reforms enacted by SB 91 and what changes (if any) would you like to see?
The “medical’ industry is price fixed, and often toxic. When prices are out of control, instead of picking each others pockets we need to allow free market competition and the freedom to choose alternative treatments. The providers need to be paid according to their level of skill, availability, and workload (similar to all jobs).
Ferries
Would you commit to continue funding the fast ferries as other vessels join the fleet?
Yes. As a Libertarian I would like to see the ferry system transition into the private sector. However being that the ferry system is vital to the economy of SE Alaska; I would support such funding until an orderly transition can take place. I would also support the use of Airships (aka dirigibles) as laid out in House Research Agency Report 80-12 as an adjunct to the ferry system.
