- The Heists, Andrew and Erin, are launching their EP album “Break & Mend” with six tracks at release show on Saturday, September 12 at The Crystal Saloon. After years of playing music together, this is their first work as a writing duo.
- On Sunday, September 27, Tlingit and Haida’s Wayfinder’s Youth Program and Community Advocacy are partnering together in recognition of Orange Shirt Day and MMIP for a community walk: “Walking in Truth and Running for Change.”
- Sealaska Heritage Institute (SHI) awarded four educators from communities throughout Alaska for their distinguished services during “Our Cultural Landscape,” SHI’s 2026 culturally responsive education conference. Two recipients Renee Drummond (Tlingit Culture, Language, and Literacy) and Luke Fortier (Goldbelt Heritage Director of Education) share about their work and recognition.
