August 4, 2020 / This week from The Signal

All the latest news and information from around Alaska.

But first…

We “track our sources” at KTOO. That's not as big brother as it sounds. It just means we ask everyone who appears in a news story or on Juneau Afternoon to self report their gender and race/ethnicity.

We make a lot of decisions every day that lead to the coverage you hear on KTOO. And this quarterly report is like holding up a mirror to our coverage so we see a true reflection of who we are deciding to interview. And what we don't see reflected is who we are ignoring -- intentionally or otherwise. These are the voices that are under-represented on KTOO. So, this report is as much about what we see as it is about what we don't.

Read KTOO's quarterly source diversity report.
