But first… it's still a cruise town

KTOO started reporting a new episode of Cruise Town before Juneau's cruise season got derailed by COVID-19. And over the past few weeks we’ve managed to find some time to finish it. It's about our two biggest attractions: the Mendenhall Glacier and our world-class whale-watching. It’s also a cruise back in time to when social distancing wasn’t a thing and Juneau was prepping for its biggest cruise season ever.

Just one more thing…

Community Connection is a segment on KTOO’s Juneau Afternoon where listeners share personal stories, reflections, poetry or music about life in these strange times.

In this piece, Tori Talley talks about the unique challenge of being a recovering hypochondriac during a worldwide pandemic.
