"Native Youth Olympic Games."

This year’s Junior Native Youth Olympic Games are virtual, with nearly 300 participants sending in videos of themselves competing in the events.

The games were postponed after several attendees at a school-sponsored wrestling tournament tested positive for COVID-19, briefly shutting down the school.

Last week, the Nome Native Youth Olympics team hosted a virtual event to garner more interest region-wide in traditional games and inspire kids to start practicing traditional games on their own.
