The former Sitka mayor Marko Dapcevich has included the current mayor Matt Hunter and municipal administrator Mark Gorman in a lawsuit that claims they violated the city charter.
City Administrator Mark Gorman will step down from the position in six to nine months, he announced during Tuesday night’s Assembly meeting. He’s resigning for both personal and professional reasons, he said.
“It’s pretty astounding that the young man was Tased multiple times and didn’t comply. Because immediately you want to … it hurts!” said Sitka Police Chief Sheldon Schmitt.
