In the upcoming municipal election, there will be two contested races for Juneau Assembly and four candidates for two Juneau School Board seats.
Juneau voters are likely to be asked at least two ballot questions in October: Should the temporary 3 percent sales tax be renewed again? And, should it be permanent?
“There’s a huge variety of issues that we have to tackle. I feel like I have a lot of good life experience, and I enjoy Juneau.”
“Her focus on education, her focus on examining our city budget at a really deep level, not just a broad stroke policy level, but getting into the line items – I think that’s a really valuable for assembly members to go after the budget work,” said Deputy Mayor Jesse Kiehl.
