Legislators would convene for a joint session to consider an override as soon as next Monday if the governor vetoes the education bill on Thursday, legislative leaders say.

Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz said the effects of legislators’ inaction on the municipality was as them basically saying, “Here, it’s your problem.”

Inmates will be moved to other corrections centers and halfway houses or possibly put on ankle monitoring, depending on the situation.
