There are a lot of anecdotes about the Alaskan Hotel’s Room 315. One grisly incident in 2007 almost ended tragically.

“I think of the hotel as beyond wood and nails. It is organic, it is a process, it’s a state of mind, it’s a historic museum, it’s a family,” says owner Bettye Adams.
