U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski addressed the Alaska Legislature on Tuesday. Murkowski gave an update on happenings in Washington, D.C., and took questions from state lawmakers in a joint session.
The Alaska Department of Transportation seeks ships capable of ferrying 125 passengers from Juneau to Hoonah, Angoon and Kake. The three communities aren’t scheduled to receive a state ferry until March.
“Given the partisan nature of this impeachment from the very beginning and throughout, I have come to the conclusion that there will be no fair trial in the Senate,” says Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
