Justice Peter Maassen wrote that the record from Alaska’s constitutional convention showed the importance the delegates placed on holding a joint session for votes on the governor’s appointments. 

The ruling reverses a Superior Court decision that 94 positions filled by Dunleavy appointees had been vacated in December. 

Cathie Roemmich, the recently retired CEO of the Juneau Chamber of Commerce, was reappointed to the Marine Transportation Advisory Board.
