An Alaska-based coalition wants the Permanent Fund Corporation to drop all of its fossil fuel holdings

A crowd of about 40 gathered in the drizzling rain outside Juneau’s federal building this Thursday to protest Royal Dutch Shell’s oil rig, the Polar Pioneer.

While Sen. Lisa Murkowski barely mentioned climate change in her annual speech to the Alaska Legislature, a small crowd rallied outside to bring attention to the issue.
