Friday is Veterans Day. In Juneau, a ceremony will be held from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. honoring veterans of all wars at Centennial Hall.

Elks Lodge 420 will hold its Veterans Day Dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The spaghetti and meatball dinner is free to all veterans, and members of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

City & Borough of Juneau offices are closed for the holiday. Treadwell Arena will be open.

On Saturday, a Veterans Day Run begins at 10 a.m. that begins at the Brotherhood Bridge parking lot. The cost is $10. There’s an 8K run or a 1-mile walk. Contact Myron Davis, 321-1988 or email myrond@gmail.com for more information. Proceeds benefit the American Legion.
