Fire department responds to medical call near ice caves with jet boats

Capital City Fire/Rescue used a jet boat on Mendenhall Lake on Saturday afternoon in response to a medical call reported near the ice caves.

Assistant Chief Chad Cameron says they got the call at about 4:15 p.m. that someone with heart problems needed assistance.

First responders reached the patient and transported him or her to Bartlett Regional Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
