A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the arm early this morning at the Bergmann Hotel in downtown Juneau.
Lt. David Campbell with the Juneau Police Department says officers arrived just after midnight, and found the victim with a 3-inch wound on his right forearm. The man told police another man had cut him with a knife.
“It looks like there was an argument about whether the person should leave the hotel room and it resulted in the victim getting cut in the arm,” Campbell says.
The victim was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect, 57-year-old Henry Phillips Jr., was arrested and lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center on one count of assault in the third degree. Bail was not set.
Campbell says the two Juneau men were not staying in the same room. He says alcohol was a factor in the incident.
