Two men were taken to the hospital with what police say were non-life threatening injuries after a stabbing incident just before midnight Friday at a residence on Great Western Street in Douglas.
Capital City Fire/Rescue reports one of the men was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital in serious condition and the other in critical condition.
Juneau Police say a 52-year-old man stabbed a 54-year-old in the chest during an altercation. Officers say the man with the knife was then knocked down, disarmed, and kicked in the head until he was unconscious.
Neither man has been identified, and charges have not yet been filed.
Police say alcohol appears to be factor in the incident.
