Businesses try to recover after Downtown fire

The first floor and part of the second floor of Downtown Juneau’s Endicott Building that burned Sunday may be salvaged. A structural engineer has been through the building with owner Tom Huntington, who has been telling tenants that some of it can be saved. The city on Tuesday turned over the control of the property to Huntington, who now has the responsibility and liability for the clean up. As Rosemarie Alexander reports. tenants watching an excavator knock down the charred walls are hopeful they can reopen their business in the same spot.
