State-run correspondence school closes

Alyeska Central School has ended a 65 year career as the state-run correspondence school. The program was handed over to the Yukon-Koyukuk School District this week to be run as a charter correspondence school. While the staff will remain in Juneau, the school has a new home near a local hatchery and a shift in focus. Anne Sutton has more.
