- U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan typically votes with the Republican leadership in the Senate. But in the wee hours before a two-week recess, Sullivan voted no on the federal spending bill.
- The White House said retaining troops with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria "presents considerable risk to military effectiveness and lethality."
- The bill says the state should limit the portion of state spending on state agencies that the Legislature directly controls each year to $4.1 billion starting next year.
