Ready. Set. Go! in races for Juneau Assembly, school board

The slate of candidates for Juneau's October 2nd municipal election is now set. On Monday, the last day for candidates to file for office, Cheryl Jebe joined the race for mayor, and Will Muldoon and Phyllis Carlson joined the race for school board.

Nowlin files for Juneau Assembly, receives APOC exemption

The APOC exemption means Paul Nowlin must limit fundraising and expenditures to $5,000 or less. His only opponent at this point, Loren Jones, does not plan to limit spending.

Paul Nowlin - a 35-year-old office manager at Petro Marine in Juneau - filed his letter of intent with the Alaska Public Offices Commission Monday. Nowlin says he wants to give back to the community where he grew up.
