KTOO's This I Believe
A local dialogue about personal values and civic ideals

This I Believe is a public radio project spear-headed by NPR that invites prominent and everyday Americans from all walks of life to share brief essays describing the core values that guide their lives. The project is based on the popular 1950s radio series of the same name hosted by Edward R. Murrow. National Public Radio has been airing the best of these three-minute essays on its newsmagazines Morning Edition and All Things Considered and will feature them on the NPR website through March 2006.

KTOO is now localizing this effort and encourages you to participate! For several weeks this fall and early winter, KTOO will broadcast local essays representing as many life experiences and personal beliefs as possible. As with the national series, KTOO’s aim is to create a forum for broader understanding, civilized discourse and respect for differing view points.
