Meet Your Legislators
|
Gavel to Gavel Alaska viewers will hear much about budgets, the permanent
fund, subsistence hunting and fishing, mining regulations, maintenance of
state buildings, road expansion needs, children and family concerns, and
many more issues relevant to our state operations and daily lives. Gavel to Gavel Alaska viewers will be able to see and hear your representative and senator in many committee meetings and floor discussions. You and your students will have the opportunity to feel as if you are present for these meetings. You will be able to follow the discussions on topics as it moves around the table, providing your students with multiple viewpoints. Politics will come alive before your eyes as you see the inner workings of urban and rural delegations, majority and minority give and takes, and the leadership qualities legislators bring with them to Juneau.
