Northwest Coast artists were singled out for their efforts over the last two years. The Juried Native Art Show, held in conjunction with Celebration 2008 in Juneau this week, named a total of a dozen-and-a-half artists as among those creating the very best work. Matt Miller has more.

Hundreds of Southeast Native dancers, singers and artists are preparing for Celebration 2008. The every-other-year event, organized by the Sealaska Heritage Institute, features Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian culture and traditions. CoastAlaska’s Ed Schoenfeld previews Celebration, scheduled for June 5th through 7th in Juneau.
