Autopsies confirm gunshots in 4 deaths at Fairbanks hotel

FAIRBANKS — Autopsies have confirmed that four people died of gunshot wounds last week at a Fairbanks hotel.

Fairbanks police say the results support the theory of three murders and a suicide in the deaths of Linda Hutton, 54, Emily McDonald, 22, Teagan Hutton, 8-week-old, and McKay Hutton, 22.

Preliminary evidence pointed to McKay Hutton as the shooter in the deaths of his mother, wife and infant child, police said.

Their bodies were found Friday in a room at the Hampton Inn.

Fairbanks detectives continue to seek information that would indicate a motive for the shootings.
