ANCHORAGE — Police say a decomposed body was found near railroad tracks in south Anchorage.
Someone called police shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after finding the body while walking in a wooded area near Huffman Road and the Old Seward Highway, said Jennifer Castro, spokeswoman for Anchorage Police Department.
Nothing immediately suspicious was found at the scene, according to police.
The state medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine identification and a possible cause of death.
