Anchorage police describe vehicle in fatal hit-and-run

ANCHORAGE — A vehicle in an Anchorage fatal hit-and-run likely was a dark blue 2003 or 2004 Chevy Silverado or Avalanche with blue lighting inside the cab.

Anchorage police are seeking the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed Joshua Goodlataw, 22, shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday as he walked on the Glenn Highway near Turpin Street.

Police say the pickup likely has headlight and hood damage on the passenger side. Plastic trim near the hood and windshield also could be damaged.

Police describe the driver as a slender, white, 5-foot-4-inch tall man. He wore a white baseball cap and gray jacket.

He was with a thin white woman in her 20s. She was about 5-foot-5 with long, strawberry-blond hair.

A second passenger was a heavy-set 5-foot-5 Asian man in his 20s.
