Support staff for Juneau schools and the Juneau School District have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract.

Juneau Education Support Staff will vote on the proposed contract next month, followed by a vote by the Juneau School Board.

Terms of the agreement, which would go into effect in July, were not disclosed in a statement released by the district Wednesday.

Support staff make up nearly half of the 672 employees within the district. They include maintenance and custodial personnel, school nurses, RALLY and office and instructional support.
