Snatch-and-grab cyclist loses bike to victim

A cyclist reportedly snatched and grabbed a bag of cash and restaurant receipts from a petite employee of the Little Hong Kong restaurant Thursday night — but lost his bike in the process.

Lt. Kris Sell of the Juneau Police Department describes the incident in a statement:

“The young woman, who was only 5-foot-2-inches tall, was not an easy victim. She chased the man, pulled him off the bike, knocked him to the ground and retained the bicycle. The man ran off on foot with the bag.”

Police want help finding the suspect, the owner of the bike and the bag. The suspect is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, possibly with tan skin. The bike was a Trek with a bell, and rear cargo rack. The bag taken was rectangular, blue and had an NBA logo on it.
