Juneau Police arrested a man who may have been trying to rob a downtown bank Monday afternoon.
John R. Knudson, 55, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, and lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Knudson allegedly entered the downtown Wells Fargo branch Monday about lunch time and refused to leave at the request of management. An employee said Knudson indicated he was waiting for someone to arrive before robbing the bank. But according to a police press release Knudson was not confrontational and did not appear to have any weapons.
Juneau Police say two officers arrived on scene within a minute of being dispatched to the call at about 1:16 p.m.
An investigation is underway and more charges may be filed.
