Walker plans to continue TV show during run for governor
Bill Walker plans to continue his weekly TV show while running for governor.
Lindsay Hobson, an attorney at Walker’s law firm and his daughter, expects Walker to request a formal opinion from the Alaska Public Offices Commission.
Hobson says she believes a 2005 commission opinion she was directed to after making an informal inquiry addresses the issue but said a formal opinion would help make sure every “t” is crossed and every “i” dotted.
The opinion related to radio host Jack Frost, who planned to run for Anchorage mayor. It said Frost could keep hosting the show but not speak about or advocate on behalf of his or anyone else’s campaign while on the show.
Walker’s show began airing in March. He announced plans to run for governor last week.
