On Monday evening, Focus on Community’s PeaceTalk will feature two interviews. The first will be with the President of Veterans for Peace in Seattle, who will explain his group’s “Tax Day” action of distributing information on the Federal Budget and the allocations to war; we’ll also meet Hattie, a Lebanese exchange student from the YES program, on his academic and social experiences here in Juneau this school year. 7-8 pm
- Gov. Bill Walker says a tax package he's introduced for the special session is a necessary measure to address the state's fiscal situation.
- Ketchikan Museum staff have been working to catalog, document and store totem pole fragments that have been in the museum’s collection for 40 years. The fragments can provide details lost on many of the larger poles.
