A 26-year-old man is accused of firing a rifle at homes in the western Alaska village of Marshall and threatening to kill residents.
KTUU says Kyle Myers was arrested Saturday and faces charges of assault, weapons misconduct and criminal mischief.
Alaska State Troopers were notified Saturday afternoon by a Marshall resident who said Myers was intoxicated and threatened to shoot his father. The initial report said Myers had a shotgun.
Troopers say Myers was still intoxicated when troopers from Aniak found him at a friend’s house.
According to troopers, Myers reportedly discharged a .308 caliber rifle at least five times near several homes and threatened to kill several people.
Troopers say Myers also broke a window at a nearby home, causing more than $500.00 in damage.
