The building of a 21-million dollar University of Alaska Fairbanks fisheries and ocean sciences lab in Juneau is underway. It is part of the Ted Stevens Marine Science complex at Lena Point which includes a new National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) research building.
